How to Use XRS DPF Cleaner

Before cleaning

Check whether the DPF is in good condition and has no internal damage. Use a videoscope to inspect blockage and the condition inside the DPF.

After inspecting the DPF, remove the sensors and block all holes to ensure no liquid or air leaks from them.

1. Penetrate each cleaner into the DPF

Apply RM1, RM2 and RM3 in this order.

1. RM1: Put RM1 evenly over the top of the DPF directly from the bottle. Use an air gun to blow air through the DPF, pushing the RM1 through the DPF. Let the RM1 sit for at least 15 minutes.
2. RM2: Put RM2 evenly over the top of the DPF directly from the bottle. Use an air gun to blow air through the DPF, pushing the RM2 through the DPF. Let the RM2 sit for at least 15 minutes.
3. RM3: Apply RM3 evenly over the top of the DPF directly from the bottle. No need to wait after RM3 is applied.

2. Wash with water, turn DPF upside down

Turn the DPF upside down and from the downstream side, wash with water and push water away with air and repeat this process until the water becomes clear.

Repeat this water and air process until water becomes clear.

The DPF is laid on its side and hose is attached directly to the DPF from the downstream side and water pressure is used to push the DPF downstream.

3. Drying process

1. Install DPF, various sensors, pipes, and hoses on the vehicle.
2. Start the engine and fully open the accelerator pedal 5 to 6 times to let the initial water escape. 1500 to 2000 rpm for 15 minutes, or test drive at low speed (city driving).
3. The drying process is completed by forced regeneration.
